Helpers

A 'Helper' is a person, aged between 18 and 65, who supports the Guiders running the unit. They may turn up on a regular basis to be an extra pair of hands at a unit meeting or they may have a special skill that the unit needs, like keeping the accounts, cooking on Pack holiday, or being licensed to drive a mini bus.

Whatever they offer, Helpers must agree to abide by Girlguiding UK's policy and rules and they must complete an Adult Application Form, which requests references, and a Criminal Records Bureau check.

Unit Helpers can choose to become members of Girlguiding UK.
