Camp Advisor
June Bingham
Guide and Senior Section Residential Advisor
Way back in the late 60’s early 70’s I was a Guide and helped at our Brownie unit.
I loved camping as a Guide and have many memories of campfires, burnt meals when we were cooking and playing pranks on our brilliant Captain.
I had to give up Guiding when I started work as I could not get back to our village in time for meetings but got involved again when my daughters were of an age when they wanted to be part of Guiding.
I rekindled my love of Guiding in 1993 when I was asked to just give up an hour a week so my daughter could be a Rainbow but I had the bug already in my system and it starts to take over you life in a good way.
I moved to Guides after a couple of years and got back into camping for me one of the best bits of Guiding and have been taking my Unit’s away ever since.
I help to run two unit’s one Guide and one Ranger.
I have been involved in helping a many County events and I have been told I am not a bad cook too. I have also taken a County group abroad.
If you need any help or have any questions about taking girls away please get in touch my details are in the directory.
